The GP Collaborative Service is available for patients requiring assessment by a GP during evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
It is possible to arrange an appointment at the GP Centre based at the Northern General Hospital or at one of the Sheffield GP hubs.
Home visits are also available if appropriate.
Please contact the NHS 111 service to request an assessment.
Appointments are available at one of the GP access centres across Sheffield between 6pm to 10pm weekdays and 10am to 6pm Saturdays and 10am to 2pm on Sundays.
These centres are open for extended hours in the evening and weekends for urgent, booked appointments. This will allow you to see a GP locally for urgent care instead of visiting A&E which may not be appropriate.
To access this service call 111 when your practice is closed and you will be assessed for the best service for you to use, you could be sent to a GP surgery if that is the best place for you to be treated.
The appointments can be with a GP, a Nurse Practitioner, a Nurse, a Health Care Assistant or Physiotherapist.
Patients can be seen by a practice nurse on weekends for blood tests, ear syringing, asthma reviews, wound checks and dressings.
