A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME TO OUR S10 TOGETHER EVENT!
On Wednesday 5th March, along with our colleagues from Crookes Medical Practice and Selborne Road Medical Centre, we welcomed over 300 of our patients to an afternoon at St Columba church.
Patients attending met with many local community providers such as Hallam Bowls Club, Help the Aged, Broomhill Library, The Allotment Society, The Community Wellness Services and many more. They found out about local groups and activities they could engage with and many were surprised at the wide range of opportunities available, free of charge and on their doorstep.
In addition attendees enjoyed a free sociable café with tea, coffee and cakes (most of which were made by our own teams) and were served by the Doctors and other members of the practice teams.
All of your feedback was very positive with people saying they had no idea that so much was available to them in their own community. We think the main achievement was that people made new friends and reunited with old ones and had a pleasant afternoon out.
If you enjoyed the event and would like to participate in planning and delivering another one, or if you would like to stay updated about any plans the practice has, please contact helen.foster12@nhs.net
